Our positive mindset

In this life you have challenges every day. I know for myself the accessibility deal is a huge one for me on a daily basis. Picture your friend inviting you to their wedding and you find out that the building has stairs with no elevator or ramp. What do you do? You can either start a fit over something that you can’t control, or take it how it is and laugh it off! Yeah you are very disappointed with your friend’s shortsightedness on the lack of research they did before they even asked you to their wedding but it’s how you act on it. Over the years I had let downs from my friends inviting me out to restaurants and find out shortly that the washroom or the entry way into restaurants are not really accessible.

One might ask. How do you stay positive through all this? Well patience is the name of the game because you and I know that patience is a skill. Its especially frustrating when my technology goes down the day of presenting and you have to fix it over facetime. Sometimes I just break down because technology is part of my day to day life. I remind myself that there is another way to communicate.

I start my day by what I’m grateful for. Perhaps we should all start the day by saying and writing:

I am so happy and grateful that I got up this morning.

I am so grateful and happy that I have food in my stomach.

I am so happy an grateful for a roof over my head.

I am so happy and grateful for employment.

I am so grateful and happy for a loving family.

I am so happy and grateful that I can communicate by technology.

I am so happy and grateful that I can read and write.

If you say you’re happy and it is going to be a good day then you will have a good day. Its all in your mindset and what you tell yourself daily. Another example that you can say to yourself is you can handle anything that comes your way because you are awesome! You are the creator of your own life.

So again I ask you. How do you stay positive?
