HID® pivCLASS® RK40
Overview
HID Global’s pivCLASS RK40 wall switch with keypad contactless reader is suitable for use in security areas meeting the FIPS-201 criteria for “Controlled” access and is intended to support the use of a personal identification number (PIN) entered via a keypad and sent directly to a panel or door controller (PIN matched at panel, not on card). The pivCLASS RK40 supports reading any PIV-based card with a contactless interface and containing a Card Authentication Key (CAK) certificate when used in combination with HID Global’s pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM) or pivCLASS Embedded Authentication.
