HID® pivCLASS® R40
Overview
HID Global’s pivCLASS R40 wall switch contactless reader is suitable for use in security areas meeting the FIPS-201 criteria for “Controlled” access. When used in conjunction with HID Global’s pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM), the pivCLASS R40 reader provides strong authentication ensuring that the card being presented is genuine; the data on the card has not been changed or manipulated; and the card is not a copy or clone of another card. The reader supports and reads any PIV-based card with an ISO14443 contactless interface and containing a Card Authentication Key (CAK) certificate.
